Pashu Mela or Cattle Fair of Kunwaria Rajsamand -

Pashu Mela of Kunwaria is a very famous event of Kunwaria Rajsamand . Kunwaria is about 17 kilometers Far from Kankroli Rajsamand . Kunwaria is famous for the pashu mela [Cattle Fair ]. The Ground is so big and there are many cattle can be purchased and sold during the pashu mela of kunwaria . many bullocks, oxen and camels can be sold and purchased here in the fair of kunwaria Rajsamand .

The cattle fair of Kanwaria is not only a cattle fair people come from near by villages in this fair and there are many shop for bangles, clothes, body tattooing , sundry household items also held . Many items are also can be placed here for entertainment of people in the fair. Folk dance, dramas are organised for the entertainment .

    Mahashivratri Festival In Rajsamand –

    Mahashivaratri festival is a very famous celebration Here In Rajsamand. There are many shiv temples like Ekling ji Temple of mewar Rajgharana, Kunteshewar Mahadev Temple of farara Village, Rameshwar Mahadev Temple, Gupteshwar Mahadev Temple, Chomukha Mahadev Temple, Parasram Mahadev Temple situated In and around Rajsamand. Mahashivaratri festival is being celebrated all over the rajsamand with grate joy and happiness .

    That’s why Mahashivratri festival is a very famous occasion of Rajsamand. MahaShivratri Festival comes on the 14th night of new moon during the dark half of the month of Phalguna. Many people go to different mahadev temples to pray Mahadev and get the blessings for them and there families. People do pooja and get prasad of lord shiva. On Mahashivratri Festival devotees offered Billiv Patra on the Shiva Lings and Rudrabhishek was performed with pouring of sacred water from the holy rivers like Ganga, Jamuna, Saraswati, Godavari and Kaveri .

    Shivji is also called ‘Mahadev’. Maha means ‘great’ and ‘Dev’ is a Divine Being. Devotees of Shiva fast all the day and in evening they go to the shiv temples and get blessings. Some of them also drink “Bhang[A Drink Which made with Bhang Leaf] on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
